Married Flo in 1950 and had daughter Carol in 1951. Ted was a dedicated musician and played the cornet from an early age, he played in Fodens Band for many years and won many adwards including the Insignia of Honour which he rececived in 1974 at the Royal Albert Hall. Ted became the Musical Director for Royal Doulton Band in 1974 until he retired in 1991. After retiring he was Diagnosed with Chronic Bronchitis. He enjoyed a wonderful life, he was a devoted family man. He had Daughter Carol, Son-in-Law William a Grandaughter Nicola and Grandson-in-Law Nigel and a Great Grandson George Edward. In his latter years the illness progressed and he was then told he had COPD. Unfortunately as the illness progessed he became less mobile and was dependant on Oxygen and Medication. On 18th January 2009 he peacfully passed away with his loved ones at his bedside.
He was a great man and a loving Husband, he will be sadly missed.
